What we collect
When you join the waitlist we keep your email address. If you choose to tell us about your street, we also keep what you enter: your name, your neighborhood or street name, town and state, roughly how many homes it has, what kind of place it is, and any note you write.
We also note where you came from, as a short label such as a campaign name or the website that linked to us. We do not keep the full address of that page, your IP address, or any tracking cookies. This site does not use analytics or advertising scripts.
Why we collect it
- To email you when Hi Neighborhood opens for your neighborhood.
- To decide which neighborhoods to open first. Organizers go first.
- To occasionally ask you a question about what your street needs. You can ignore these.
We never sell or share the waitlist, and we never add you to anyone else’s mailing list.
How it’s stored
The list is stored in a private database that the public website itself cannot read. Only the people running Hi Neighborhood can see it.
How long we keep it
We keep your entry until your neighborhood joins Hi Neighborhood, you ask us to delete it, or we stop the waitlist, whichever comes first.
Deleting your entry
Email hello@hineighborhood.com from the address you signed up with and we’ll delete everything about you from the list.
The app itself
Hi Neighborhood, the members-only app, will have its own privacy policy covering resident information. That policy is shared with every neighborhood before anyone signs in.
